Fooling me, fooling you - ahaaaaaa!
Unfortunately the AppStore is THE place to go, when youre in a mood to have yourself ripped-off by some greedy app seller.
What Im talking about? Well its this:
- Normally, this game is sold for money (0,79€) . But you dont only get the game for it, you also get ads with it - for free. Of course, you can remove the ads through in-app-purchase (for another 0,79€). How nice, really. Does this ever stop? Ads in a paid version of an app? That is and will ever be, completely inacceptable! Remove the ads, remove the ads-removal IAP!
- And, as usual, there is no explanation on any of the IAPs whatsoever. No information on if or how much the player needs to buy "coins" for real money via IAP, to play the game full-featured.
- The so called "HD" version of this game (0,79€ also) is a 16.6 MB download what makes, compared to this "non HD" version (a 15.8 MB download) a difference of less than 1 MB. Now what, other than the two letters "H" and "D" in the game title, truly is the difference between these two editions of the game? And again: silence. No explanation on that. Not here, not with the "HD" version.
How much longer are we going to let this happen to us? Misinformation, hidden costs, no free editions of apps, feature cutbacks through "updates", unneccessary sencorship by Apple, rip-off by app sellers, ... You still didnt have had enough of it? Well then go ahead. Buy games of this kind and let the fooling go on.
Ive had enough of it. I wont ever again buy a game/app that doesnt come up to the minimum requirements (free edition to try some before you buy the whole thing; a thoroughly and detailed description of the app features; a clear statement on whether or not the app requires internet connection to use it; clear statements on what the in-app-purchases are (and what not); a clear statement on whether or not "coins" or whatever needs to be purchased to get all features; a clear statement on if and how the app includes ads).
And I want to encourage anybody else to do the same. Refuse the crap and the rip-offs. Choose quality "products" that are sold for a reasonable price and encourage those developers/publishers who are upright and fair with their customers. And kick the balls of the rest!
